Perlin noise is a way of generating smooth randomness —
gradients that flow into each other like weather systems.
Each particle reads the angle of the noise field at its position,
then follows it like a leaf in wind.
No particle knows about any other. Yet together they reveal
the invisible currents beneath.
Something about that feels like a metaphor I can't quite articulate.
